| Allyl chloride Allyl chloride (3-chloropropene) is a colorless, mobile liquid with a characteristic pungent odor. It is employed as a chemical intermediate, chiefly in the preparation of glycerine, resins, and fine chemicals. A wide variety of compounds may be formed from allyl chloride by addition to the olefinic double bond or by reaction of the chloride radical or both. Important intermediates derived from allyl chloride are glycerol chlorohydrins, epichlorohydrin, glycerol and glycidyl ethers, allylamines, and allyl ethers of trimethylolpropane. AC Product Stewardship Product Stewardship is our commitment to make health, safety and environmental protection an integral part of our business. We have prepared an extensive literature package to assist our customers in this very important activity. Application |
